Job summary

Willapa Behavioral Health & Wellness is seeking a part-time Billing Coding Specialist - Certified to join the Administrative team. The role involves coding diagnoses and procedures, preparing and submitting insurance claims, and communicating with patients about charges and payment plans.

Telehealth may be utilized as directed by management. The ideal candidate holds a coding certification and/or an associates degree, with experience in medical billing and claims processing, and is comfortable

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified coder from an accredited organization.
• Associates degree preferred or required as stated.
• Experience with medical billing and insurance claims.

Responsibilities

• Read and analyze patient records to ensure accurate coding.
• Assign diagnoses and procedures using ICD/CPT codes.
• Enter codes into management software and submit claims.
• Explain charges to patients and assist with payment discussions.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with healthcare policies.
• Work on-site with telehealth capability as needed.
