Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED as required by the posting.
• Graduation from an accredited medical assisting training program (CAAHEP/ABHES) with at least 720 hours total and 160 clinical externship.
• One year CMA experience preferred.
• CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Must have Medical Assistant Certification or Interim Certification from WA State DOH.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient records and update medical history, vitals, treatments, and medications.
• Prepare for visits, review lab requests, referrals, and provide updates to the provider team.
• Collaborate with providers to ensure schedules run smoothly and care continuity.
• Prepare exam rooms, ensure supplies and sterilization of equipment.
• Explain procedures to patients and provide limited education about medications.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures; manage provider requests.
• Collect specimens, perform screenings, and document results in EMR.
• Administer medications as directed by a physician; align with compliance standards.
