Essential Functions:
- Customer Service
- Provides excellent customer service by following Lowe's policies and assisting customers in locating, demonstrating, and loading merchandise.
- Responds promptly to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when necessary.
- Expresses genuine appreciation to customers and communicates product information, including stock, special orders, and warranties.
- Contacts customers regarding deliveries and coordinates with drivers as needed.
- In-stock
- Plans delivery activities, prepares loading tickets, and ensures on-time delivery.
- Pulls merchandise, builds delivery loads, and loads trucks within payload limits.
- Inspects products before loading and assists customers with loading when necessary.
- Verifies loaded items against invoices.
- Clean and Safe Stores
- Ensures loads are secure and compliant with DOT regulations.
- Updates delivery status in tracking systems.
- Unloads, installs, and tests appliances upon delivery.
- Maintains vehicle inspections, cleanliness, and repairs, and completes DOT reporting to ensure compliance.
- Detects security risks such as shoplifting and reports to management.
- Maintains store cleanliness and organization, and ensures a safe work environment.
- Adheres to safety requirements and operates store equipment as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Class A or B CDL License with endorsements, depending on location.
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one.
- Ability to pass MVR screening and obtain necessary licensure.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations.
Preferences:
- One year of semi-truck/trailer driving experience or certification.
- Six months of in-home delivery or retail customer service experience.
- Three months of forklift operation or vehicle onloading/offloading experience.
