Essential Functions:

1. Customer Service

• Provides SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs.
• Seeks out customers to understand their needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise.
• Listens to and responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions by walking them through projects when necessary.
• Demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers.
• Communicates information to customers regarding all stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information related to Lowe’s programs.
• Contacts customers regarding delivery or coordinates with the truck driver to call the customer.

In-stock

• Plans delivery activities, prints loading tickets, and delivers merchandise according to schedule to ensure on-time delivery of orders.
• Pulls merchandise, builds and bands delivery loads, and loads trucks within payload capacity according to delivery order.
• Inspects condition of products (e.g., appliances) before loading for delivery or assisting customer with loading.
• Matches items on invoice with quantities loaded by verifying descriptions, items, and model numbers.

Clean and Safe Stores

• Ensures that loads are safe, secure, and within Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Updates delivery and route status (e.g., on-site, completed) on system (e.g., iPhone) for tracking purposes.
• Unloads, installs, and tests appliances upon delivery.
• Verifies daily vehicle inspections and reports, and ensures cleanliness, maintenance, and repairs for delivery vehicles and equipment.
• Completes DOT reporting to maintain certification and CDL compliance.
• Detects signs of shoplifting, theft, and security risks, and reports promptly.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of store and working areas.
• Maintains a safe work environment, conducting safety reviews and noting hazards.
• Adheres to safety requirements relevant to job duties.
• Operates store equipment as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Class A CDL License (for locations with multi-unit CMV) or Class B CDL License with air brake endorsement (for single-unit CMV).
• Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment.
• Ability to pass MVR screen.
• Ability to obtain necessary sales-related licensure or registration.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations.

Preferences:

• 1 year experience driving semi-truck/trailer or certification from a driving school.
• 6 months experience performing in-home delivery or retail customer service.
• 3 months experience operating a forklift or Moffett for onloading/offloading.
