Job summary

McCoy's Building Supply in Paris, TX is seeking a part-time cashier to assist customers and process transactions at the cash register.

You will greet customers, operate the POS, handle payments, help locate products, balance cash, and support store operations, including stocking and housekeeping. Flexible on nights, weekends, and holidays. Equal opportunity employer; training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of on-the-job training; levels 1 and 2 completed.
• Ability to operate cash registers and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers as they enter the location.
• Operates the cash register accurately using the UPC scanner, quick key, and product keywords.
• Accepts money in cash, checks, and credit/debit cards for items purchased.
• Assists customers with locating products, questions about products or prices.
• Balances cash register and sales at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Processes returns and exchanges according to store policy.
• Assists with stocking and housekeeping; front-and-face shelving.
• Attends store meetings and training sessions.
