Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers in Villa Rica, GA is hiring a Retail Associate – Cashier to deliver outstanding customer service, process transactions accurately, and promote Round-Up opportunities. This part-time role requires a High School diploma or GED, basic math skills, and prior retail or customer service experience.

You will be cross-trained across the store operations and expected to work 20–25 hours weekly, Monday through Sunday shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic math skills.
• Prior experience working in a retail or customer service-related environment is preferred.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that each guest receives outstanding customer service.
• Assists customers with purchases and pricing.
• Operates the cash register system and applies basic math skills.
• Understands item pricing and “color of the week”.
• Maintains the sales floor and dressing room appearance by organizing shelves, putting away carts, and returning dressing room merchandise to the sales floor.
• Asks customers to “Round-Up” totals in support of our mission and/or scholarship programs.
• Meets or exceeds daily retail store goals.
• Works in other areas of the store as requested by the leadership team.
• You will be cross-trained and expected to learn and work all areas of the retail operation.
• Part-time positions average 20-25 hours per week; shifts vary; Monday through Sunday.

The Vila Rica retail store, located at 110 North Bay View Dr., is currently seeking a hard-working, dedicated Retail Associate – Cashier.

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers, Inc.’s Retail Associate – Cashier responsibilities:

• Ensures that each guest receives outstanding customer service.
• Assists customers with purchases and pricing.
• Operates the cash register system and applies basic math skills, including but not limited to basic addition and subtraction of money.
• Understands item pricing and “color of the week”.
• Maintains the sales floor and dressing room appearance by organizing shelves, putting away carts, and returning dressing room merchandise to the sales floor.
• Asks customers to “Round-Up” totals in support of our mission and/or scholarship programs.
• Meets or exceeds daily retail store goals.
• Works in other areas of the store as requested by the leadership team.

You will be hired as a Retail Associate – Cashier; however, you will be cross-trained and expected to learn and work all areas of the retail operation.

Part-time positions average 20-25 hours per week. Hours will fluctuate based on business needs (e.g., seasonal changes, donation volumes). Operating days will vary by store location. The Retail Associate – Cashier must be available to work any shifts Monday through Sunday.

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Basic math skills.
• Prior experience working in a retail or customer service-related environment is preferred.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Warehouse experience preferred.
