Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers, Inc. in Newnan, GA is seeking a part-time Retail Associate - Cashier to greet customers, accurately process transactions, and promote Round-Up options to support our mission.

You will be cross-trained to learn all areas of the retail operation, typically work 20–25 hours per week with shifts Monday through Sunday, and join a team dedicated to helping people develop skills and independence.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Basic math skills.
• Prior experience working in a retail or customer service-related environment, required.
• 1 year of Cash handling experience, preferred.
• Warehouse experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide outstanding customer service.
• Assist customers with purchases and pricing guidance.
• Operate the cash register and perform cash handling with basic math.
• Understand item pricing and promotions (color of the week).
• Maintain neat appearance of the sales floor and dressing room; restock as needed.
• Encourage customers to round up totals to support the mission.
• Meet or exceed daily store goals.
• Work across store areas as needed by leadership.

The Newnan retail store in Bullsboro, DR, seeks a hard-working and dedicated Retail Associate - Cashier.

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers, Inc.'s Retail Associate - Cashier responsibilities:

• Ensures that each guest receives outstanding customer service.
• Assists customers with purchases and pricing.
• Operated the cash register system and applied basic math skills, including, but not limited to, essential addition and subtraction of money.
• Understand item pricing and "color of the week."
• Maintains the appearance of the sales floor and dressing room by organizing shelves, putting away carts, and returning merchandise from the dressing room to the sales floor.
• Asks customers to "Round-Up" totals in support of our mission and scholarship programs.
• Meets or exceeds daily retail store goals.
• Works other areas of the store as requested by the leadership team.

You will be hired as a Retail Associate - Cashier, however, you will be cross-trained and expected to learn and work all areas of the retail operation.

Part-time positions average 20-25 hours per week. Hours will fluctuate based on business needs (e.g., seasonal changes, donation volumes, etc.). Operating days will fluctuate based on store location. The Retail Associate Cashier must be available to work any shifts Monday through Sunday.
