Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers in Carrollton, GA is seeking a Retail Associate – Cashier to deliver excellent customer service as customers shop, ring up purchases, and support store operations. You may be cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the retail operation.

This part-time role averages 20–25 hours per week, with shifts Monday through Sunday and variable hours based on business needs. Starting pay is $13.00 per hour, plus a benefits package and 401k with company match.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), required.
• Basic math skills.
• Prior experience working in a retail or customer service-related environment, required.
• 1 year of Cash handling experience, preferred.
• Warehouse experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that each guest receives outstanding customer service.
• Assists customer with purchases and pricing.
• Operates the cash register system and applies basic math skills including, but not limited to, basic addition and subtraction of money.
• Understands item pricing and “color of the week”.
• Maintains the sales floor and dressing room appearance by organizing shelves, putting away carts, returning merchandise from the dressing room back to the sales floor.
• Asks customers to “Round-Up” totals in support of our mission and/or scholarship programs.
• Meets or exceeds daily retail store goals.
• Works other areas of the store as requested by the leadership team.

The Carrollton retail store, located on1301 South Park St. CarrolltonGA., is currently looking for a hard-working and dedicated Retail Associate – Cashier.

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers, Inc.’s Retail Associate – Cashier responsibilities:

You will be hired as a Retail Associate – Cashier, however, you will be cross-trained and expected to learn and work all areas of the retail operation.

A part-time position averages 20-25 hours per week. Hours will fluctuate based on business needs (i.e., seasonal changes, donation volumes, etc.) Operating days will fluctuate based on store location. The Retail Associate – Cashier must be available to work any shifts Monday through Sunday.

• Prior experience working in a retail or customer service-related environment, required.
