Job Overview

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service, exhibiting caring, concern, and patience in all interactions.
• Greets customers in a friendly manner in the designated department or elsewhere in the store.
• Operates cash register accurately, scans products, redeems coupons, processes transactions, and issues receipts.
• Assists with merchandising, stocks shelves, and maintains store cleanliness and organization.
• Answers customer questions, follows-up with appropriate personnel, and complies with policies on sales of tobacco and liquor.
• Ensures compliance with regulations regarding WIC and food stamps.
• Maintains knowledge of item values, department numbers, and features.
• Reviews weekly store ads for pricing and sale updates.
• Keeps register area clean and stocked, adhering to “5S” standards.

Job Requirements

• Ability to follow detailed instructions and perform basic arithmetic.
• Good visual acuity and ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.
