Lutheran Services in Iowa (LSI) is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our Services for People with Disabilities team in Des Moines. This full-time and part-time DSP role supports 2-3 adults who require 24-hour assistance, working in home settings and in the community.

• Qualified candidates for this job will have either a high school diploma or a GED.
• Experience working with Supported Community Living (SCL) or with people with disabilities is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work with 2-3 adults that require 24-hour support in their home and in the community.
• Provide support, assistance, and instruction in learning independent living skills (money management, socialization, cooking, personal hygiene).
• Advocate for individuals, communicate needs and goals, and provide transportation as needed.
