Part‑time Case Manager – Supervised Release Program

The Staten Island Justice Center (SIJC) seeks a Part‑time Case Manager to serve in its Supervised Release Program (SRP). Reporting to the Supervising Case Manager, the role involves direct service delivery and coordination with court stakeholders, community providers, and participants.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and monitor SRP participants according to assigned tier and level, ensuring court compliance and dignity for all participants.
  • Work with participants to identify and address barriers to court attendance and compliance.
  • Provide comprehensive case management by coordinating resource allocation and service referrals (substance use, mental health, trauma, IPV, housing, education, and employment).
  • Conduct outreach to participants, collateral contacts, defense attorneys, and court staff to maximize compliance.
  • Maintain accurate, timely data entry and documentation aligned with court reporting obligations.
  • Submit court reports on compliance, non‑compliance, re‑arrest, and mandatory program notifications within required time frames.
  • Maintain professional relationships with court staff, judges, and attorneys.
  • Co‑facilitate pro‑social and psycho‑educational groups with SRP clinicians.
  • Communicate and collaborate across teams to identify successes, challenges, and opportunities to strengthen programming.
  • Participate in supervisory meetings, staff trainings, and project events as needed.
  • Coordinate with staff on any additional tasks as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum two years of direct practice experience in therapeutic or case management.
  • Experience in pre‑trial, court‑based, or criminal legal system strongly preferred.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Experience in substance use treatment, mental health services, co‑occurring disorders, or adolescent development preferred.
  • Trauma‑informed and strength‑based approach experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi‑disciplinary team in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor and collaborative skills to work effectively with judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, court staff, and agency partners.
  • Culturally competent with openness to working with diverse backgrounds.
  • Bilingual (English‑Spanish) preferred.
Position Type

Part‑time – Saturdays 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; occasional weekdays as needed.

Compensation

Hourly rate $29.15 – $37.80, based on a 35‑hour work week and commensurate with experience.
