Job summary

Vigo County CASA seeks a Staff Advocate to represent abused and neglected children in the juvenile court system across program areas including Family Recovery Court, information, assessment intake, staff advocacy, volunteer coordination, and training. Position is approximately 29 hours per week.

The role involves casework, court reports, data maintenance, and collaboration with social service partners. Requires CASA training, 21+ years of age, and valid license/insurance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must complete 30 hour CASA training course.
• Must carry 15+ advocacy caseload.
• Requires valid driver's license and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Serves as Staff Advocate, observing, investigating, evaluating progress and case status.
• Interacts with children, parents, guardians, and service providers.
• Provides written court reports and maintains case logs.
• Maintains program database and case files, prints and scans documents.
• Attends court proceedings and Testimony as required.
• Organizes community events and supports volunteers as needed.
