Job summary

Friendship Village in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a compassionate and energetic Caregiver to join our Assisted Living team. You will assist licensed nursing staff with daily living activities and routine nursing duties in a Life-Care community, on a part-time second shift 2:30p-10:30p.

Starting pay is $16.00 per hour, with flexible scheduling, benefits, and a fun work environment. You’ll help residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning and more, under supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years old.
• Prior geriatric care experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic. Ability to document care given.
• Good assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising.
• Gives prompt and efficient assistance to nursing personnel in non-professional duties and care of residents under supervision of RN and LPN.
• Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures and specimens when indicated.
