Job summary

Southwest Tennessee Community College is seeking a Part-Time Career Exploration Lab Technician for the Mobile Learning Lab Operations. This temporary role reports to the Career Exploration Lab Coordinator and involves hands-on maintenance of lab equipment and inventory management across multiple campus locations in Shelby County.

The position requires an Associate degree or higher in Electronics Technology or related experience, plus proficiency in hardware/software maintenance and

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Electronics Technology or related work experience.
• Experience with inventory management.
• Experience with computer hardware/software maintenance.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• A background check will be required.

Responsibilities

• Directly supports mobile unit activities.
• Manage and maintain laboratory test/repair equipment including PACE rework stations, Mantis Microscopes, oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generators, and multimeters.
• Monitor and resupply inventory of laboratory consumables.
• Troubleshoot equipment including software and hardware.
• Check and test equipment; work in confined spaces.
• Work up to a maximum of 16 hours per week.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
