Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Two years of experience in electronic repair.
  • Knowledge of electronics theory.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent mechanical, electrical, and electronic aptitude.
  • Ability to read and design electronic and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical support and repair for complex research, medical, and teaching instrumentation.
  • Maintains, repairs, and calibrates equipment such as microscopy, spectroscopy, balances, incubators, and other electronic instrumentation.
  • Designs prototypical instruments and retrofit/repurpose existing equipment, and installs control systems.
