Job summary

UnityPoint Health's Diagnostic Cardiology unit seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse for a part-time role (0.45 FTE) in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will provide advanced nursing care, assist during non-invasive cardiac procedures, and collaborate with physicians and technical staff to ensure patient-centered care.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, uphold ANA ethics, and participate in professional practice to support excellent cardiac care for diverse patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Current licensure in good standing to practice as an RN in Iowa.
• Must possess and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Must possess and maintain CORE certification within 6 months from hire date.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the needs of patients and families undergoing invasive cardiac procedures and provides teaching and referrals for continuity of care.
• Collaborates with the physician to develop an individual plan of care with the patient and health care team.
• Completes documentation to assure an accurate legal record of patient care.
• Delivers high-quality care with proficiency in cardiac medications and emergency meds.
• Maintains sterile fields and a clean procedure environment.
• Supports standby call with a 30-minute response time from primary residence to hospital.
