Job summary

ChristianaCare in Wilmington, DE, seeks a Part-Time Cardiac Sonographer to perform diagnostic echocardiography and assist with training in the Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Lab.

The role offers a $4,000 sign-on bonus; schedule is 32 hours over two weeks with weekend options and no on-call.

Primary site is Wilmington Hospital with 60 days of cross-site training at Newark; benefits include medical, dental, vision and a 403(b) plan. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a medical diagnostic ultrasound program or equivalent.
• Registry-eligible and must sit for registry and become RDCS/RCS within the first year of employment or eligibility.
• Pass the registry exam from ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS).
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs cardiac ultrasound procedures.
• Documents patient history and technologist impressions on exam forms.
• Assists cardiologist with transesophageal echo imaging.
• Instructs cardiac ultrasound students and fellows during training.
• Rotates on on-call schedule including weekends.
