Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking an Outpatient Cardiac Sonographer, Casual (8 hours/1 day per week) for the Rehoboth Office. The role involves performing diagnostic echocardiograms and assisting physicians in diagnosing cardiac disease in adults and geriatrics.

Requirements include ARDMS RDCS or RCVT certification (or registry eligibility), a CPR certification, and an Associate degree preferred. Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, a 403(b) plan with employer match, and generous PTO.

ChristianaCare, is looking for an Outpatient Cardiac Sonographer, Casual (8 hours/ 1 day per week), to work at our Rehoboth Office.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

To perform diagnostic echocardiograms in adherence to the American Society of Echo Cardiography and to assist physicians in the diagnosis of cardiac disease.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prefer IV experience to perform contrast and bubble studies.
• Performs 2D, M-Mode, CW, PW, and Color Flow Doppler echocardiograms
• Demonstrates skills and knowledge necessary to provide quality and quantitative echocardiograms for adult and geriatric populations
• Accurately present completed echocardiograms to physicians.
• Demonstrate ability to recognize normal and abnormal echocardiograms

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Associates Degree preferred.
• Certification from ARDMS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, RDCS) or from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (Registered Cardiovascular Technologist, RCVT), or a new graduate of an accredited ultrasound program who meets registry eligibility.
• CPR certification
