Job summary

Favor the Kind on Greenville Avenue in Dallas is hiring a Part-Time Captain to join the team. Part-Time Captains lead the day as Manager on Duty, work 18–30 hours weekly, and must be available for at least 5 weekend days per month.

The role includes overseeing store operations, coaching teammates, meeting sales goals, and delivering warm hospitality. Compensation starts at $22/hour after MOD certification, with a generous employee discount and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

Favor the Kind on Greenville Avenue in Dallas is hiring a Part-Time Captain to join the team. Part-Time Captains are the top tier of our hospitality team, working the sales floor and leading the day as Manager on Duty. This role is a key spot on the team, working a minimum of 18 hours a week and available to work a minimum of 5 weekend days a month (Saturdays or Sundays). We are looking for someone who wants to grow with Joyville, Inc. and be an integral part of the team.

A successful day led by the Part-Time Captain looks like...

• The store opens on time, beautiful, and ready for guests
• The team is briefed on the day's goals, priorities, and anything they need to know
• Customers are greeted warmly the moment they walk in — every time
• The floor stays in Host Flow: tidy, stocked, styled, and staffed where it matters
• Teammates get in-the-moment coaching, support, and encouragement
• Sales goals are met because hospitality and selling are happening together, not separately
• Problems get solved with grace — returns, customer questions, team hiccups, all handled
• The store closes clean, the team leaves feeling good, and the next shift is set up to win

The Details

• Part-time role, 18-30 hours a week
• Available to work 6 weekend days per month (Sundays the shop is open noon-5)
