Job summary

BARNES & NOBLE COLLEGE in the United States seeks a Part-Time Supervisor to help bring the campus store to life by leading daily operations and delivering an exceptional customer experience. You will support leadership, coach team members, and help execute store priorities in a welcoming retail environment.

Responsibilities include opening/closing duties, merchandising, inventory, POS transactions, and daily problem-solving to maintain operational excellence and alumni-friendly service.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and provide direction to team members.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work a varied, year-round schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead on the sales floor and coach team members to create a customer-first culture.
• Assist with opening and closing responsibilities and act as Manager-on-Duty when assigned.
• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure daily priorities and standards are met.
• Support onboarding, training, merchandising, inventory, replenishment, POS transactions and order fulfillment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment and uphold operational standards.
