Job summary

Hamilton College is seeking dependable Campus Shuttle Drivers to provide safe and reliable transportation for students on a part-time, on-call basis. This role supports the campus community with pre-trip inspections, passenger safety, and timely shuttle service to local hubs and campus loops.

Flexible hours vary with the academic calendar and may include early mornings, evenings, or weekends. No CDL required; a valid US driver’s license and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and a professional, service-oriented demeanor when interacting with students and staff.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License (Class D/Standard) required; No CDL.
• Three years licensed driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safe Transportation: Operate 7-passenger mini-vans and 12-passenger vans safely under various weather conditions.
• Shuttle Services: Provide transportation to local transit hubs and campus loops.
• Vehicle Inspections: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including lights, tires, and fluid levels.
• Passenger Safety: Ensure passengers follow safety protocols, including seatbelt use and capacity limits.
• Reporting: Maintain mileage logs and report mechanical issues or incidents to the Transportation Coordinator.
