Job summary

Allied Universal is actively hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a college in Roxbury MA. You will provide security services, maintain a safe campus environment, and support staff and students with a friendly, professional demeanor.

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll work Sat 11 PM–7 AM and Sun 11 PM–7 AM with a starting pay of $22.05 per hour. A valid driver’s license is required; CPR/First Aid certification is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements depend on state and may be required.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with directing visitors, supporting campus access procedures, and documenting incidents and observations in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain a professional presence while helping support a welcoming learning environment and following Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.
