Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a college in Middleton, MA. The role offers a consistent overnight schedule: Fri/Sat/Sun 11:30 PM–7:30 AM with a pay rate of $21.06 per hour.

You will patrol and monitor campus areas, assist with access control and badge-related tasks, and provide professional customer service to students, staff, and visitors while maintaining a visible campus presence.

Qualifications

• Previous access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, walkways, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and communicating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting unauthorized access attempts, suspicious behavior, and security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and shift communications.
