Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer in Allentown, PA. You will patrol campuses, deter unauthorized activity, and provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors. This role emphasizes visible presence, access control, and incident response, with an emphasis on safety and customer care.

Position Type: Part Time. Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour. Schedule includes Mon–Thu 9:00 AM–2:00 PM, delivering consistent part-time hours in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as per laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors while following site procedures and emergency protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and report per procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
