Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for Patrol Operations near Holmdel, NJ. You will monitor and patrol campus areas, provide exceptional customer service, and help deter security incidents while maintaining a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

The role offers a flexible schedule with pay of $25.50 per hour and opportunities to grow within a national team.

Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess a New Jersey RPO Certificate.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests while carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events calmly and professionally following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, common areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with entry procedures and report concerns to site contacts.
