Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in New York, NY. You will monitor campuses, provide excellent customer service, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents while supporting students, staff, and visitors.

The role offers a flexible schedule (Thur and Sun shifts) with pay between $20.40 and $21.40 per hour. A background check, drug screen, licensing requirements, and a high school diploma are required for employment.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors and campus partners.
• Maintain calm, professional conduct during incidents and emergencies.
• Ability to monitor and patrol assigned areas and report concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, grounds, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with supervisors, campus personnel, and emergency responders as needed.
