Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a Guard Card/License preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation per laws.
• Criminal history considerations consistent with laws.
• Drug screening as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and guests by carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and campus concerns in a calm, professional manner and communicate observations per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, residence areas, common spaces, grounds, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, credential verification, and access-control procedures as per site policies.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain communication with site leadership and campus personnel regarding incidents and hazards.
