Job summary

Lamar State College-Port Arthur is seeking a Student Worker to provide general office support and assist with departmental duties. Responsibilities include filing, data entry, and event assistance, while maintaining a maximum of 20 worked hours per week. Candidates must be current LSCPA students with a GPA of 2.0 or higher.

This non-exempt position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be comfortable performing work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license/state ID required.

Responsibilities

• Filing, making copies, faxing, shredding and scanning.
• Data entry.
• Document creation and maintenance using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Assist with department and/or student events.
• Greet and assist office guests and campus visitors.
• Answer phone, receive and sort mail.
