Job summary

George School in Pennsylvania seeks a part-time Custodian to maintain dormitories, classrooms, gymnasiums, and campus facilities. You will follow the school’s cleaning procedures, perform floor and carpet care, and assist with event setup across various buildings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 2-5 years custodial operations experience preferred.
• Ability to follow oral, written instructions.
• Possess a valid and current driver’s license.
• Ability to perform duties in the event of an emergency.
• Ability to work holidays and special events when needed.
• Must be able to walk, talk, hear, stoop, crawl, climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work indoors or outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect assigned areas (dormitories, classrooms, offices, gymnasiums, restrooms, etc.).
• Follow all cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
• Perform floor and carpet care including shampooing, refinishing, vacuuming and stripping floors.
• Operate cleaning equipment and restock closets with supplies.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and report repairs.
• Handle trash & recycling on campus.
• Move items between buildings and set up/break down furniture for events.
• Assist in moving and disposal of campus furniture.
