Job summary

George School in Pennsylvania is hiring a full-time Custodian for the 1st shift to maintain cleanliness and safety across dormitories, classrooms, offices, gymnasiums, pool areas and other campus spaces. Responsibilities include following the 10-step cleaning process, performing floor and carpet care, operating cleaning equipment, restocking supplies, and assisting with setup for meetings and events.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 2–5 years custodial experience preferred,

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 2-5 years custodial operations experience preferred.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Ability to perform duties in emergencies.
• Ability to work holidays and special events.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work indoors or outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect assigned areas (dormitories, classrooms, offices, gymnasiums, pool, restrooms, etc.).
• Follow SOPs, including the 10-step cleaning process and safety protocols.
• Perform floor and carpet care and operate floor care equipment.
• Operate cleaning equipment and restock labeled supplies as needed.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and report repairs.
• Handle campus trash and recycling.
• Move equipment and supplies between buildings; assist with events.
• Assist in moving and disposal of campus furniture.
