Job summary

STgenetics in Ohio is seeking a Part-Time Calf Feeder to support the health, growth and well-being of young calves. You will feed calves, monitor health, and keep housing clean according to company standards.

You will monitor calves daily, assist with care, maintain feeding records, and work outdoors in varying weather. Reliability and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Experience with livestock preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to animal care.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
• Stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute milk, feed, water, and supplements per feeding schedules.
• Monitor calves daily for illness or injury and report concerns.
• Clean and sanitize calf housing, feeding equipment, and work areas.
• Assist with handling, moving, and sorting calves as needed.
• Maintain feeding and animal care records.
• Monitor feed and supply inventory and notify if shortages arise.
• Follow biosecurity, welfare, and safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with general farm maintenance and other duties as assigned.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
