This is a part-time position. The primary responsibility is to provide excellent customer service by satisfying customer needs and exceeding expectations. The role requires product knowledge, food preparation skills, sales ability, customer relations skills, and teamwork to create a positive shopping environment. Responsibilities include preparing, processing, packaging, and stocking products according to standards, as well as customer service, cleaning, unloading, and reloading salvage products.

Customer interaction is vital; associates must be courteous, friendly, and helpful. Harris Teeter provides training for all associates with extensive customer contact. If unable to resolve a customer comment or complaint, direct the customer to a manager. All public interactions reflect on Harris Teeter's image and should be handled professionally.

Essential duties include:

1. Customer Service: Engage with customers, ask questions about their needs, and assist accordingly. Always demonstrate the highest level of customer service, making eye contact, smiling, and speaking clearly.
2. Appearance and Punctuality: Maintain a neat, professional appearance and be reliable and punctual, notifying management in case of lateness or absence.
3. Food Preparation and Handling: Prepare baked goods, decorate cakes, and handle food items per standards. Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
4. Stocking and Merchandising: Keep shelves stocked, organize displays, and ensure product freshness and rotation. Process damaged or outdated products appropriately.
5. Sanitation and Safety: Follow health and safety regulations, keep work areas clean, and handle chemicals safely. Report safety hazards and accidents promptly.
6. Teamwork and Flexibility: Support colleagues, adapt to shifting priorities, and perform various tasks as needed.

Minimum requirements include:
