Job summary

Millville Public Schools is seeking cafeteria staff to assist with meal prep, serving, and cleanup. The role involves working across multiple school locations as a Floater, with duties including dishwashing, stocking, and occasional cashier tasks.

Hours vary by location and daily needs. Candidates must meet health requirements and be able to work a 4‑hour shift when assigned as a Floater. This is an entry‑level position under the MEA contract.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of hot and cold food.
• Serves students and staff from the cafeteria counter.
• Assists in the cleaning of counters, tables, and furnishings.
• Attends to spills to prevent hazards to employees and students.
• Removes trash from food preparation, service, and lunchrooms.
• Assists with dish washing duties.
• May perform duties of cashier.
• Maintains pots, pans, and cooking utensils.
• Sweeps and mops storeroom floors and walk‑ins.
• May perform related duties at special meal functions.
