Job description

The Hotel Cleveland is seeking a Cafeteria Attendant to join our team. As a Cafeteria Attendant, you will be working with our culinary team to prepare food items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.

This Marriott Autograph Collection property opened in 1918, has 491 newly renovated rooms and 60,000 sq. ft. of meeting space.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

  • Wipe down tables and seats when clearing tables with a clean, damp cloth soaked in sanitizer solution to ensure guests always sit at a clean table.
  • Scrape and pre-rinse dirty dishes, properly arranging them in the correct section of the dish pit for the dishwasher to take care of.
  • Set tables with clean condiments, linens, and other items as needed according to restaurant standards and demands of the table seating.
  • Clean and stock as necessary throughout your shift.
  • Carry dishes, food, silverware, and trays from kitchen to serving counters when supply runs low.
  • Perform janitorial duties as needed when time permits, such as cleaning workstations, emptying the trash, mopping up spills and sweeping during your shift.
  • Polish and clean walls, shelves, furniture, and equipment throughout the establishment during shift when time permits.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Must have Food Handlers Certificate.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and be on your feet for long periods of time.
