Job summary

Omni La Costa Resort & Spa is seeking a Marketplace Cafe Attendant in Carlsbad, CA to join a fast-paced, guest-focused team. You will prepare coffee beverages, process orders, assist with retail items, and deliver friendly service to guests throughout shifts that include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 16+ years old, basic cash handling and POS knowledge, plus food safety certifications upon hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training is acceptable.
• Must be at least 16 years of age at time of hire.
• Food Handler and TIPS Certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• General knowledge of cash handling and Point of Sale systems.
• Maintain housekeeping standards for retail merchandise and cafe cleanliness.
• Check in retail merchandise with accuracy and restock Cafe counter.
• Good communication with customers face to face and good phone etiquette.
• Schedule flexibility to work Holidays and weekends, mornings and evenings.
• Understand basic operation of kitchen equipment as it relates to the Cafe counter.
• Involved in physical inventories four times per year.
• Assist the baristas to ensure quality service.
• Prepare beverages and help sell F&B items.
