Job summary

The New York Public Library is seeking a Part-time Business Projects Coordinator for the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library (SNFL) to support planning and implementation of business and finance programs, including tax preparation events, across NYPL branches in Manhattan, the Bronx, and Staten Island.

You will collaborate with the Business Center and Finance teams, coordinate partnerships, and assist with marketing and outreach to diverse library users, including patrons and small business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business preferred.
• 5+ years of business ownership/management experience.
• 5+ years of outreach experience for events.
• 2+ years of training small business owners in topics like marketing, finance, and accounting.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and implementation of business and finance initiatives across the Library, including tax preparation programs in branches.
• Assist development of online information resources related to business and finance programming.
• Help develop and maintain community partnerships for business programming.
• Coordinate logistics and promotional materials for business programs across NYPL branches.
• Coordinate contracting for business programming with Legal and Procurement.
• Assist with staff-facing messaging and resources for branches and staff.
• Support marketing efforts with the Business Center Team (Website, Social posts, E-newsletter).
• Assist outreach activities and events like Financial Planning Day and Small Business Day at multiple locations.
