Job summary
Heartfelt Impressions Learning Centers in Clarkston is seeking a part-time Bus Driver and After Care Teacher to support Kindergarten through 5th grade students after school. The role combines safe bus transit with engaging, hands-on activities in a nurturing environment.
Ideal candidates enjoy working with children, have reliable transportation, and can obtain a driver’s endorsement for a 14-passenger bus. CPR/First Aid certification is welcome, with training available if needed.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality required.
- Valid driver’s license with chauffeur’s endorsement to drive the 14-passenger bus (highly desired).
- Background check (fingerprinting) required.
- CPR/First Aid certification can be completed within 30 days of hire.
- Prior elementary teaching experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Supervise children actively at all times.
- Communicate openly with parents and staff.
- Plan and facilitate indoor and outdoor activities.
- Assist children with homework and resolve conflicts.
- Assist with serving snacks and safe meal times.
- Build respectful classroom relationships and maintain licensing compliance.
