Heartfelt Impressions Learning Centers in Clarkston is seeking a part-time Bus Driver and After Care Teacher to support Kindergarten through 5th grade students after school. The role combines safe bus transit with engaging, hands-on activities in a nurturing environment.

Ideal candidates enjoy working with children, have reliable transportation, and can obtain a driver’s endorsement for a 14-passenger bus. CPR/First Aid certification is welcome, with training available if needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality required.
• Valid driver’s license with chauffeur’s endorsement to drive the 14-passenger bus (highly desired).
• Background check (fingerprinting) required.
• CPR/First Aid certification can be completed within 30 days of hire.
• Prior elementary teaching experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children actively at all times.
• Communicate openly with parents and staff.
• Plan and facilitate indoor and outdoor activities.
• Assist children with homework and resolve conflicts.
• Assist with serving snacks and safe meal times.
• Build respectful classroom relationships and maintain licensing compliance.

We are actively seeking a an enthusiastic, caring, and dependable part-time Bus Driver and After Care Teacher to join our Clarkston team. In this role you will provide a safe welcoming classroom for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade who attend Heartfelt after their elementary school day. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, fosters positive relationships and creates fun, enriching experiences that encourage learning, creativity, and social development during after school hours.

Job Details

Status: Regular, part-time

Schedule: Monday-Friday 2:00pm-6pm

Hourly rate: Starting at $15, $18/hour while driving the 14-passenger bus. Teacher rate is dependent on years of experience and credentials.

Location: On site Clarkston, MI

• Must be at least 18 years old

Essential functions:
