Job summary

The City of Dover is seeking an individual to perform routine cleaning and general maintenance in and around the Inspection Services building. This is a part-time, 8 hour per week position. $17.55 to $25.39 per hour. Position is open until filled.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors, restrooms, offices and public areas; minor repairs, painting, and snow removal; maintaining records and coordinating with supervisors. Open until filled.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Physical stamina to perform routine custodial work.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors and carpets; sweep, vacuum, wash, and wax as directed.
• Empty trash and manage waste disposal.
• Restroom cleaning and supplies stocking.
• Dust and clean offices and public areas.
• Remove snow and ice from walkways around buildings.
• Perform minor carpentry, electrical, and plumbing repairs.
• Prepare and paint floors, walls and fixtures.
• Monitor building condition and report maintenance needs.
• Assist with preventive maintenance of HVAC and other systems.
• Maintain records related to inspections and maintenance.
• Maintain building security and inventory of supplies.
• Assist with emergencies and general public works tasks.
