Job summary

Family Health Council of Central PA is seeking two part-time Breastfeeding Peer Counselors to support the WIC program. The role will serve pregnant and breastfeeding clients at WIC offices in Bloomsburg, Shamokin, or Shamokin Dam, PA.

Responsibilities include providing basic breastfeeding information and addressing common issues, with local travel within the 26-county region. Ideal candidates have excellent customer service, communication, and organization skills and prior breastfeeding

Qualifications

• Breastfeeding experience required (not necessarily currently breastfeeding).
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel locally within the region.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic breastfeeding information and support to clients.
• Assist with common breastfeeding concerns and problem-solving.
• Work independently or with staff and communicate effectively with diverse populations.
