Job summary

Scion Staffing, Inc. has been engaged to conduct a search for a Part-Time Temporary Bookkeeper for a small professional services organization supporting business accounting and bookkeeping needs.

This is a temporary, part-time position based in New York, NY, working approximately 20 hours per week. The role will initially require two full days per week onsite, with increased remote flexibility once the selected candidate is comfortable and established in the position.

Qualifications

• Hands-on bookkeeping experience with AP, AR, and payroll.
• Experience with ERP or accounting software.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day AP and AR, including cleanup of outstanding items.
• Support payroll processing and maintain organized bookkeeping records.
• Process payments and resolve outstanding accounting matters.
• Communicate with vendors, mortgage companies, and other parties to resolve issues.
• Independently identify priorities and troubleshoot bookkeeping issues.
• Learn and navigate the organization’s cloud-based ERP system.
