Job summary

Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC) seeks an Adjunct Instructor in Biomedical Electronics to facilitate learning, design instructional strategies, and update the curriculum for blended delivery. The role focuses on ensuring student success and adapting to industry needs within a part-time schedule.

The position requires an appropriate credential in biomedical equipment tech/engineering, plus field experience in hospital or OEM settings.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum two years full-time (or 4,000 hours part-time) in the target program areas.
• Previous teaching experience with adult learners is preferred.
• Active involvement in biomedical electronics professional activities is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learning Facilitation: develop instructional strategies to engage diverse students across multiple delivery modes (hybrid, in-person, online).
• Assessment: provide regular feedback and use data to improve outcomes such as persistence and course success.
• Curriculum Development: revise materials to be current, competency-based, and aligned with accreditation standards.
• Classroom Management: maintain attendance, grades, and a safe learning environment.
• Team Participation: collaborate with division and program teams on planning and budgeting.
• Business & Community Engagement: build relationships with industry partners and participate in advisory activities.
• Student Success & Support: advise on schedules, internships, and program information.
• Professional Development: pursue ongoing teaching knowledge and new instructional technologies.
