Job summary

Qualifications

• Two- to three-year college program in engineering design and drafting technology.
• One- to two-year college or technical college certificate in drafting.
• Three- to four-year apprenticeship program.
• Four years of related experience plus completion of college or industry courses.

Responsibilities

• Develop HVAC and plumbing system drawings in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Create and maintain BIM models for commercial construction projects.
• Assist engineers in the preparation of construction documents.
• Coordinate models with architectural, structural, electrical, and civil disciplines.
• Incorporate design revisions and maintain drawing standards.
• Participate in project coordination meetings.
• Support permit, bidding, and construction documentation.
• Enhance current drafting procedures, methodologies, and policies in coordination with Project Designers & Engineers.
