Job summary

Gunthers in Utah is seeking a Mechanical Engineer - HVAC & Plumbing to design 3D HVAC and plumbing systems, size and tag components, and ensure project drawings and specs are current. You will participate in BIM360 coordination, coordinate with suppliers, and perform load calculations to deliver accurate, timely project packages.

Responsibilities include site visits, collaboration with clients and the internal team, and occasional equipment installations.

Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC and/or Plumbing installation and specifications.
• Revit MEP 2020-2024 preferred.
• BIM 360 experience desired.
• Navisworks is preferred.
• Standard work hours to flexible work hours.
• Organized, customer service oriented, with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter, self-managed and productivity-focused candidate preferred.
• Strong and professional verbal and written communication skills.
• 1+ years of HVAC and/or plumbing design experience preferred, but not required.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) is a bonus.
• Same-day travel to customer sites is required.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D HVAC and plumbing drawings and coordinate with systems.
• Ensure schedules, notes, and specifications are up to date.
• Manage BIM360 setup, coordination and management.
• Interface with equipment suppliers as needed.
• Perform HVAC and Plumbing load calculations.
• Source cut sheets for equipment and setup/augmentation.
• Insert loads and reports into job sheets.
• Coordinate with clients and internal team for project needs.
• Conduct site visits to verify equipment sizing and conformance.
• Assist in installations for own designs.
