Job summary

The role requires 2–5 years of hands-on clinical experience, a high school diploma, and fluency in Spanish and English. Paid training is provided, with compensation of $21–$25 per hour and full-time, on-site work. The position emphasizes patient care, documentation in EMR/EHR, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2-5 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is required.
• Experience with vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection is required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or CMA/RMA/CCMA certification is preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish and English is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the EMR/EHR.
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification.
• Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems.
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems.
• Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments.
• Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable.
