Job summary

MCHAP is seeking a part-time Chaplain in Reno, NV to provide spiritual care and ministry to employees and their families. The role includes weekly site visits, confidential pastoral conversations, and coordination of support services as needed.

The Chaplain will participate in funerals, grief support, and employee orientation, bringing Christian faith and compassion to workplace interactions. Prior ministry experience and a valid driver’s license are preferred.

• Spiritual maturity and Christian faith commitment.
• Diplomacy and courteous professional interactions.
• Excellent oral and written communication under stress.
• Ability to analyze information and solve problems.
• Proficient with Google Suites / Microsoft Office and online tools.
• Must have active state driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide ministry and pastoral support to employees and families.
• Visit company worksites on a weekly basis to build trust and relationships.
• Offer confidential pastoral discussions on personal issues.
• Coordinate referrals for employees needing specialized assistance.
• May assist in planning or attending funerals for employees or family members.
• Support life events, grief recovery, and bereavement services for staff.
• Represent the chapel program to clients and participate in new employee orientation.
