Job summary

Kaleida Health seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support the BGMC OP Transfusion team in Buffalo. This part-time position involves promoting patient flow, collecting information, and delivering health teaching under supervision to ensure age-appropriate care.

Qualifications

• Associates of Applied Science in Medical Office Assisting required.
• Certified Medical Assistant upon hire required.
• Certification/Registration required through American Association of Medical Assistants, American Medical Technologists, or National Center for Competency Testing.
• Successful completion of the basic PC Skills assessment required.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient flow in both the clinical and clerical areas to provide care appropriate to the patient's age.
• Performs tasks within medical information gathering, health teaching and health counseling under supervision of a registered nurse or licensed physician.
• Adheres to Kaleida policies and standards of practice.
