Job summary

Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in Prior Lake, MN is seeking a Hotel Bell Person to greet guests and assist with luggage. You will open doors, escort guests, and provide information on services.

This role supports coat check operations and loads/unloads luggage while upholding high guest service standards. Responsibilities include assisting with secure storage, operating POS interfaces for scooter/wheelchair transactions, and processing daily cash/reports.

Qualifications

• One year or equivalent experience in hospitality or related field.
• Ability to pass a basic math skills test.
• Working knowledge of point of sales and computer operations.
• Clear reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests upon arrival and assists with luggage; opens doors and may escort to registration area.
• Provides information about casino and hotel services, restaurants, and amenities.
• Inspects hotel rooms with guests to ensure satisfaction.
• Assists guests with secure storage and retrieval of luggage and other items.
• Maintains control log of luggage movements and related items.
• Operates POS register system for scooter and wheelchair transactions.
• Prepares cash register shift reports and counts.
• Familiarizes guests with hotel safety features and in-room amenities.
• Cleans and maintains work area and equipment.
• Processes and delivers guest laundry.
• Tours bus loads in/out.

Job Overview:

Assists guests in the areas of Coat Check Operations, and Hotel Bell stand with the loading and unloading of hotel guest luggage and other services; while applying high guest service standards.

Illuminate Your Future: What You’ll Do:

• Greets guests upon arrival and provides prompt assistance with luggage. Opens doors and may escort guests to the registration area.
• Provides guests with information about casino and hotel services, restaurants, and various amenities and answers guest inquiries.
• Inspects hotel rooms with guests to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Assists guests with secure storage and retrieval of luggage, packages, coats, hats, and other items.
• Maintains control log of the movement of luggage and other items.
• Operates P.O.S. register system for processing scooter and wheelchair transactions.
• Prepares cash register shift reports, reconciliation, and cash counts.
• Familiarizes guests with the hotel’s safety features and any in-room amenities.
• Cleans and maintains work area and applicable equipment.
• Processes and delivers guest laundry.
• Tour Bus Load In/Load Out

Required Experience:

• Any combination of education and/or experience in hospitality or related field to equal one year.
• Ability to pass basic math skills test.
• Working knowledge of point of sales and computer operations.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly and effectively
