Job summary

TaraVista Behavioral Health in Devens, MA, with remote coverage for MiraVista in Holyoke, MA, is seeking a Part Time Intake Coordinator (Sat/Sun 3pm-11:30pm). The role supports admissions, insurance verification, and patient processing across both sites.

Responsibilities include screening referrals, filling beds, obtaining pre-authorizations, and maintaining privacy and safety while providing census updates to leadership.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required.
• Previous Intake/Admissions experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Behavioral Health and Substance Use treatment modalities.
• Ability to develop therapeutic relationships while maintaining boundaries.
• Sufficient typing and computer skills for EMR use.
• Crisis and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Process admission referrals and assist patients through the admission process for both facilities.
• Obtain insurance pre-authorizations and verify coverage.
• Screen referrals and accept patients to fill beds.
• Provide census updates to Intake Leadership and complete required legal documents.
• Maintain patient privacy and safety; perform duties as assigned by leadership.
