Job summary

TaraVista Behavioral Health in Devens, Massachusetts, seeks a Mental Health Counselor for adult inpatient psychiatry on a 32-hour night schedule (11:00pm–7:30am), with every-other weekend and holiday rotation. You’ll provide direct care, support patients and families, conduct safety checks, and maintain a therapeutic milieu.

Responsibilities include patient observation, following treatment plans, documenting in the EMR, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's preferred in psychology or human services.
• Experience as PCT/PCA, CNA or Medical Assistant preferred.
• Strong written and spoken communication; ability to maintain boundaries.
• Experience in inpatient psychiatric or substance settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient observation and rounds on inpatient unit.
• Assist staff with patient care per treatment plans.
• Monitor progress and report observations to staff.
• Develop therapeutic relationships while maintaining boundaries.
• Assist with activities of daily living as needed.
• Supervise patient activities and ensure safety.
• Process admissions belongings and document in EMR.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
